Need a great idea for some fun? The Lost Sea is indeed that and more. The Lost Sea is the larges underground lake and registered natural landmark. Located in Sweetwater, TN which is a beautiful drive from Deer Creek Cabin or Rocky Top Cabin; you will enjoy it all. The Lost Sea is situated on 4.5 acres and is located 140 feet below the entrance. Your adventure begins with a guided tour of the caverns where your guide will explain the exciting history of the the underground lake and it’s caverns. After your short round trip walk, you will board a glass-bottom boat for an awesome trip on the Lost Sea! This is so much fun for kids and adults and it is definitely something you won’t soon forget. If you have several people in your group, be sure to check out the Wild Cave Tour. This is a special tour for larger groups and has more hands on experiences. After your tour, be sure to stop by the Old Sweetwater Village. You will definitely enjoy the general store, ice cream parlor, gem mine and glassblower. Of course you will want to stop in at the Cavern Kitchen for lunch. It offers scrumptious sandwiches and great barbecue. You can also take outside to one of the many picnic areas to enjoy.
