Falcon Rest Mansion is located in Mcminnville, TN which is just down the road from Deer Creek Cabin or Rocky Top Cabin. This historical mansion is a fun thing to do while you are here visiting. This awesome mansion was built in 1896 by entrepreneur Clay Faulkner. He had this “grand mansion” built for his wife Mary so she would move to McMinnville to be with him. Faulkner supervised the construction of the 10,000 square foot mansion. It had all the modern days conveniences like electric lights, indoor plumbing and central heat. Later on the in 1940’s the mansion was converted into a hospital and nursing home. Falcon Rest is very rich in history and such a great field trip while you are here. Its fun for the kids and adults to see and enjoy. There are guided tours daily all year round. There are also group tours that have shows with meals and mansion tours.
