Wow!  What an event of the century!  Where ever your at on August 21, 2017 you will probably experience the phenomenal event is some way.  Just a little history for you about this historical event.  The August 2017 eclipse will be the first with a path of totality crossing the United States Pacific coast and Atlantic coast since 1918.  Also, its path makes landfall exclusively within the United States.  It will be first seen from land in the United States at Oregon’s Pacific coast and progress eastward.  The longest duration of  totality will be 2 minutes and 41.6 seconds.  It won’t last long so make plans to be in a great location for viewing and don’t forget you special glasses!  Tennessee Technological University will be hosting a viewing party at Tucker Stadium, which is open to the public.  The City of Cookeville will be hosting special events Saturday-Monday.  Check out the links below for dates and times.  Make plans to attend!
