What a great way to spend a day with friends and family! The Chickamauga Turn Train departs from Chattanooga, TN most Saturdays thru September. This is a wonderful way to see the beautiful scenery of the Cumberland Plateau. This day long event (about 6 hours) has a layover in Chickamauga, GA to tour the Chickamauga-Chattanooga National Military Park. This was the location of the battle of Chickamauga, one of the deadliest battles in the Civo; War. Your tour guide will give a history and demonstration about the battle. Afterward, climb the 136 steps to the top of Wilder Tower for an aerial view of the battlefield.
